Formed in 2006 as one man band. Dimitris was writing music with the help of his brother Alex on programming the drums. Alex was busy writing his own punk rock music when the offer came to be the main drummer of Emperor Of Myself. The rest is history.

stroszek, c'est selon c. lui-même "de la musique de vieux pour les vieux" et sound graveyard bound ne le démentira mas. ce troisième album croise néo-folk avec le rock et a plus de chair que les deux autres : la guitare électrique s'affirme et des solos sont à profusion. malgré tout, la chair est frappé par ce naufrage qu'est la vieillesse et le moindre mouvement fait mal. c. est vivant, on l'entend respirer et déglutir, mais son chant se propage en échos, comme s'il avait un pied dans la tombe.

pour un groupe qui a fait de l'échec son leitmotiv — stroszek ouvre littéralement sa carrière sur cette phrase : "I can't start like this / it hurts so bad" —, revenir en arrière a du sens. en effet, a break in the day est un e.p. dans lequel on retrouvera les chansons qui se trouvaient déjà dans the wild hunt. mais ça va plus loin que ça car ce n'est plus c. qui chante mais nat. cette voix féminine, couplée à une dark folk sans batterie encore plus intimiste, crée une atmosphère magique...

Winds of Sorrow est l'une des multiples facettes de l'artiste néo-zélandais Mort et aussi l'une des plus brèves puisque seul Through Twilight... naîtra sous ce patronyme. Mort part d'un bon concept, à savoir créer un doom metal/dungeon avec une emphase sur ce dernier, mais voit trop grand en visant le format de l'album alors qu'une démo était suffisante. Les atmosphères gothiques et parfois folkloriques sont envoûtantes mais couvrent trop une voix qu'on finit par oublier. Un album sympathique.
